| My first quilt and Blaze hiding |
This was my very first attempt at quilting. It was a pretty simple quilt to start with and lots of fun teaching my self how to do this. No I don't hand quilt it is all machine quilting. A little info on this quilt and what made me attempt this project since I'm not the craftiest person there is around. I had past this fabric many time in the store thinking I would love to make something out of it but had no ideal what I would even make or what to use it for. Then a very dear friend of mine started showing me the quilts she was making and I thought I could do that. It didn't seem to hard. I had helped my mom sew when I was younger how hard could it be. Well lets just say there is more to just putting two pieces of fabric together. You have to plan out how you want the quilt to look , keep the pieces in order and make sure that you have enough to finish the quilt you never want to have to go back and try to match your colors you may not get the same ones. I've been there, better to buy to much then not enough.

I also learn the advantage of having a rotary cutter as to a pair of scissors to cut your fabric. So as you can see I made it through my first attempt and came out with a fairly nice quilt. I could sit here and point out all my mistakes but a quilter will never tell there mistakes, the learn to hide them and cover them up. :-D I will tell one of my biggest mistakes was quilting ( well stitching in the ditch ) after I had already put the binding on but even with that big mistake I have to say I was happy with the turn out of the quilt.
